On June 30, 2018, the U.S. EPA will launch the new e-Manifest system. The system will be used to capture all uniform manifests and continuation sheets detailing the shipment of waste requiring a Uniform Manifest under the federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), and Michigan’s hazardous waste regulations. After launch, all Uniform Manifest documenting shipment of state and federally defined hazardous waste and federally regulated polychlorinated biphenyls must be submitted directly to U.S. EPA for processing.
If this is news to you, please join us to learn more about the e-Manifest system launch and what that means for you, directly from U.S. EPA’s e-Manifest Coordinator, Steve Donnelly. The West Michigan Air and Waste Management Association is hosting an e-Manifest Luncheon at Bridgewater Place. Pre-registration is required, check-in starts at 11:30, lunch starts at 12:00, and the e-Manifest presentation starts at 12:30. Rich Conforti from the Department of Environmental Quality, Waste Management and Radiological Protection Division, Data Tracking and Management Unit, will also be available to help answer Michigan specific questions, provide e-Manifesting and Michigan specific resources.
Bridgewater Place is located at Bridge Street and Scribner Avenue. Enter the parking ramp attached to the building and park on or near level C. Validated parking is included with your registration.
The deadline to reserve or cancel a reservation is 5 p.m. on Friday, May 4. We are reserving a seat just for you, so after this date no refunds can be provided and any unpaid registrations will be invoiced. Thank you for understanding.
