We will also be joined by Liz Browne from the Waste Management & Radiological Protection Division at the MDEQ. Ms. Browne will talk about Part 115 updates. The newest updates are intended to create a culture that promotes the environmental, social, and economic benefits of managing materials more sustainably. Please contact me with any questions and THANK YOU for supporting this event and the scholarship program.
The 2018 Technical Session & Golf Outing will once again be a fundraiser for our scholarship program. Recognizing the critical role emerging professionals play in the future of air pollution control, waste management and other environmental management fields, the West Michigan Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association (WM-AWMA) has long prioritized efforts to develop the next generation of environmental professionals in industry, government agencies, and research, as well as those of educators, attorneys, and consultants within West Michigan. Over the past years we have honored these future leaders by providing scholarships. Since 1994, WM-A&WMA has contributed more than $148,000 to over 90 students.
Your tax-deductible contribution will help WM-A&WMA continue this tradition of support. Please give generously. Even if you are unable to attend this event, remember that contributions to the scholarship fund are always welcome.
Refunds provided through May 25. We are reserving a spot specifically for you, so please note, after this date, any unpaid registrations, regardless of attendance, will be invoiced. Thank you for understanding.
