Join WM-AWMA for a virtual panel discussion on dealing with COVID-19 in your manufacturing, commercial or office workplace. Learn about MIOSHA’s newly released emergency rules and best practices being implemented by businesses to keep workplaces safe during the pandemic.

Panelists include:

• Don Trefry from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA).  MIOSHA issued emergency rules on October 14 to clarify requirements for employers to control, prevent, and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.  MIOSHA will provide an overview of these rules as well as workplace guidance to assist in maintaining a safe working environment during the pandemic.

• Kerry Puzio from the Taplin Group. Taplin Group has been conducting numerous COVID-19 decontamination projects in commercial, industrial and office environments. This presentation will cover the processes and procedures involved, covering employee training, PPE, set-up, isolation, ventilation, cleaning, and demobilization. A brief discussion on cleaning agents will also be covered.

• Scott Plummer from Herman Miller. Herman Miller has been on the global front lines of the Pandemic Return-To-Work efforts. We will share some of our Best Management Practices with visual aid as a benchmark and include discussion on some challenges we have faced in the design, establishment, implementation, and maintenance of a dynamic COVID-19 Playbook.
