Michigan’s Water Strategy: Driving Progress Toward a Vision
The Michigan Water Strategy, a 30-year plan to protect, restore, and enhance our state’s waters through innovation, collaboration, and stewardship, had its final release in October 2016. Michigan Office of the Great Lakes’ Chief Strategist, Emily Finnell, will discuss key strategy priorities and next steps to achieving a vision that ensures the viability and sustainability of Michigan’s communities and our water resources. The presentation will feature topics such as efforts to address aquatic invasive species; actions to improve water quality and our ability to enjoy Michigan’s water resources; and steps toward building community capacity to support stewardship of our water resources and drive our state’s blue economy.
